About Event:
This course aims to provide exposure to Chromatography,
Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology techniques. Experts from academic and industry will be involved as resource persons. The participants
will be interacting with experts and will get acquainted with practical aspects
of various techniques along with the underlying
principles. Hands-on training will be under the direct supervision of the expert. Practical demonstrations and technical lectures are part of the workshop.
Processes / Techniques:
• Cloning in bacterial expression vector
• Expression and purification of recombinant protein from bacteria
• Analysis of purified protein by SDS PAGE
• Western Blotting
• Amplification by Real time PCR
• Separation of Protein / Metabolite by chromatography
• Sample analysis by Scanning Electron Microscope and EDS
• Sequence analysis and annotation; Biomolecular interaction by bioinformatic tools

Eligibility and Selection criteria:
Students of M. Sc / M. Tech / B. Tech in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Research Scholars / Faculty members / industrialists belonging to above field are eligible to apply. Only 40
candidates will be selected by first come first serve basis. The selected candidates will be informed by email on or before May 10, 2015.

Students of M. Sc / M. Tech / B. Tech in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Research Scholars / Faculty members / industrialists belonging to above field are eligible to apply. Only 40
candidates will be selected by first come first serve basis. The selected candidates will be informed by email on or before May 10, 2015.
Accommodation:
- Accommodation will be arranged on request at VIT Hostel - Charges Rs. 250 per day.
- Breakfast & Dinner will be arranged on request at VIT hostel - Charges Rs. 85 per day.
- Accommodation charges can be paid after the arrival .
