About Event:

Soft Computing aims at simulating human-like intelligence in machines. Soft Computing is a cognitive science that models human behavior and human thought process, thus making machines behave intelligently. Soft Computing aims at automating tasks that require human intelligence. Several methods are employed to automate intelligent behavior in machines. Some of them include use of optimization techniques, classifiers, statistical learning methods, probabilistic methods, neural networks etc. Soft computing is a collection of computing tools and techniques. Soft computing approaches include fuzzy models, simulated annealing, swarm intelligence, artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, and hybrid systems. These techniques provide reasoning and searching methods to solve complex systems in real world problems. Time consuming human intervention with enormous data is reduced using these soft computing learning and optimization algorithms. The research seminar is aimed to have an extensive discussion on the aforesaid techniques, applications, and recent research issues of soft computing.

Topics to be Covered

Fuzzy logic and fuzzy sets
Neural network (BPN, RBF, JORDAN, ELMAN, HOPFIELD)
Genetic and Memetic algorithm
Optimization Techniques
