The basic objective of the national workshop is to impact the knowledge of recent trends and advances in
renewable energy sources. The crises of energy have forced to the developing countries like India to develop new and alternative methods of power generation.

As the conventional method of generation is not sufficient for the incessant growth in the demand, generation of electrical energy by utilising renewable energy sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tide and geothermal heat energy would be of very vital. Moreover the advancement in the field of renewable energy sources have been treated as a significant task of an electrical engineer for the economic growth of the country and its energy security and reliability.
