SCOPE OF THE PROGRAMME
Microcontrollers act as the brain of any embedded system. PICs are popular with practicing engineers, researchers and hobbyists alike due to their low cost, wide availability, large user base, extensive collection of application notes, availability of low cost or free development tools, and serial programming capability.
The course aims at explaining the architecture, programming and interfacing concepts of PIC microcontroller through comprehensive lectures and laboratory classes. It is believed that this would help the participants to gain an in-depth knowledge and hands-on- experience in programming and applications of microcontrollers.
COURSE CONTENTS
The following topics will be covered in the workshop:
• Introduction to PIC Microcontroller
• PIC Architectural Design and Timer/Counter
• A/D and D/A conversion
• Embedded C introduction
• Compilers, debuggers, simulators & IDE
• Software and Hardware concepts of PIC Microcontroller
• Interfacing concepts and PORT Programming
• Practical sessions

Who Can Participate?
Faculty and PG/UG students from EEE/EIE/ECE and IT departments
of any Engineering College are eligible for this workshop. With a view to give
individual attention to the participants and to make the programme more
effective, the number of participants is restricted to about 40.
Accommodation Details:
Boarding and Lodging will be provided with reasonable charge in college
hostel on request. No TA/DA will be paid for the participants.
