About Event:
The Structural and Geotechnical engineering division is hosting
a technical competition on truss design, drafting, modeling and testing called
as Truss-a-thon during 25-27, March 2017. The event will give a platform for
the young budding Civil Engineers and Structural Engineers to showcase their
talent in steel design. The competition is a 48 hour event which includes
design, drafting, physical model development and testing of a plane truss. The
event will enable participants to understand the process of design, drafting,
execution and testing of a truss structure.
Who Can Participate?
The size of
the team is restricted to 3, out of which at least one of them must be from
Civil or Structural Engineering background.
