ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Literature is the medium of portraying lives to the people of the present, delivering the mannerisms of life from benevolent and malevolent sides of human nature. On the days before the days of psychology and its development, literary masters were the psychologists’ of the society who investigated the nature of mankind but after Freud and the modern psychologists after him paved a great path in deciphering the psyche of man and their kind.
This seminar intends to focus on the need for psychology to perceive literature and the author, for the lucid understanding of the influence of myth, history, culture, society, and individual in the literary works. “Touchstoning Literature with Psychology” determines to appraise literature with the psychological approach with the aid of updated theories in the field. Hence, the seminar ventures to cater the opportunity to the academicians and students of English Literature.
