About Event:
Recent technological advancements have increased the network
traffic. Fiber Optic Communication is an emerging technology in the field of
Communication Engineering with scope to wider bandwidth, high speed, reliable
and secured data transmission. Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) is the
integrated circuit comprising of the photonic components on chip. To emphasize
the significance of this technology, this course aims at providing the basics
on designing the photonic components and how to create the back end design
which can be sent for fabrication. Hands on session on design of Mach-Zehnder
Interferometer and its layout will be provided in this course.
