About Event:
Objectives of the Training Programme: The objectives of the
workshop is to decipher the theoretical and hands on practical knowledge in
Bioinformatics and to increase the awareness of in-silico research works in
animal and veterinary sciences.
Contents: The broad areas to be covered during various sessions include
Theory lectures and practical demonstrations of the five days training
programme which will be based on the following themes:
i. Introduction to basic tools of Bioinformatics
ii. Sequence analysis and phylogeny
iii. Comparative Genomics
iv. Gene Annotation
v. Primer designing and optimization
vi. Practical knowledge on various genome analysis tools
vii. Practical knowledge on various proteome analysis tools
