Other Details:
The Conference on “Exploration of Computation and Information Technology for Disaster Management (ECITDM15)” is aimed to focus, outline and highlight the common pre-disaster and post disaster issues which need to be addressed to bring out salient features for disaster recovery planning. The Conference is also expected to throw light on the benefits of disaster planning and the understanding requirements before and after a disaster occurs.

Cooperation in disaster management is a key element of building peace, progress and prosperity. Effective disaster management encompasses efficient coordination among the government and non-governmental organizations. The main challenge is to educate the people to deal with unforeseen situations rather than panic and be a victim of circumstances by engaging in active joint initiatives on issues ranging from disaster management to disaster-reduction mechanisms and disaster-mitigation schemes.

Disaster management is multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral and multi-level activity. It involves research and analysis across a large number of disciplines involving earth sciences, engineering sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, medical sciences, behavioural sciences, management sciences etc. It also involves a large number of stakeholders across various sectors , such as agriculture, environment and forest, land, water and other natural resources, energy, livelihood, food, health, housing, infrastructure, communication, human resources, education, science & technology, social protection, security, urban and rural development, governance, media, corporates, civil society etc.
