About the University:
Kalasalingam University (formerly Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering) was established in the year 1984 by the Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities. “Kalvivallal” Thiru T. About the Department:
The School of Mechanical Sciences offers B. Tech program in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, Six years integrated B. Tech program for Hearing Impaired, M. Tech program in the following specializations viz., CAD/CAM, Energy Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Industrial Safety Engineering, Robotics and Automation and Ph.D. program. The department has well equipped laboratories and has close interactions with the leading industries for research and development. The department is funded through FIST program (DST). The Mechanical Engineering department has made pioneering and definite contributions in the thrust areas of design, manufacturing, thermal and materials.
