About Event:

Bacterial 16S rRNA contain both variable and conserved region. There are nine “hyper variable region”  (V1-V9) that demonstrate sequence diversity among different  bacteria. Therefore, 16S rRNA  is commonly used  to identify bacteria.

Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) has revolutionized genomic research. NGS applications can be used to analyze  massive raw microbial DNA sequencing data generated on Illumina or other platforms. These identifications are accurate at different levels of taxonomic hierarchy and provide detailed insights on the diversity of the bacteria present in a sampled environment. Knowledge gained through this workshop will help the aspirants to meet the evolving trends in the field of life sciences.
