This workshop is envisaged to inculcate the fundamentals of
power electronic circuits to the teaching fraternity. This workshop presents
the fundamentals concepts of power electronics including semiconductor devices,
rectifiers, inverters, converters, choppers and cyclo converters. It provides a
comprehensive discussion
on power electronic drives, FACTS devices and various controllers. The participants will get hands on exposure to the simulation of various power electronic converters based systems and their
controllers. This workshop will provide an insight into:
